Story

Team Castle/Carling/Lambert is going to be running the Great South Run on Sunday 20th October 2019. We will be trying to become runners over the Summer, attempting to smash up the 10 mile course, and will be collecting donations for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

Our lovely Mummy Castle was diagnosed with MND in March 2019. The disease affects the nerves (motor neurones) in the brain and spinal cord that control our muscles. MND is degenerative which means that eventually, messages from these nerves will stop reaching the muscles, affecting every aspect of a person's life. MND is a life-shortening illness and there is no cure.

MNDA funds and promotes research which will hopefully lead to better understandings and treatments for this disease. For people like my Mum, the association offers information, practical support, and resources to help understand and live with MND. You can read more about what they do at https://www.mndassociation.org.

We are hoping to raise a total of £800, so any donations are hugely appreciated!
