Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for Walking with the Wounded, one of the charities supported by the British Army, through whom, thanks to my brother who is a Captain in the Royal Artillery, I managed to get a place in this year's Great North Run.

As a mark of my appreciation, I would like to raise a few pounds for Walking with the Wounded (North East). The charity, formed in 2010, helps vulnerable veterans re-integrate back into society and sustain their independence. It creates programmes to assist them into meaningful employment and supports homeless veterans and those in the Criminal Justice System. During a visit to Gateshead in 2017 by HRH Prince Harry WWTW announced the development of an underused property in Gateshead which will provide support services and training to veterans across the region.

My target is deliberately low as I do not want you, my friends and family to feel obliged. However, every penny makes a difference - thank you for your support.

And I'm soooooooo looking forward to taking on the challenge of the Great North Run; one of the true 'classics' and officially the world's biggest half marathon!
