Story
Hannah and I are walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks (in 1 day, no time limit though 😁😂) to help raise awareness for this fantastic charity.
They provide amazing support for brain tumour patients, and their families. Hannah was diagnosed with a low-grade medium-sized brain tumour in March 2020, following a seizure at home. Hannah is the bravest and most resilient person I know, and dealt with this diagnosis, whilst bringing up a very young family, at the beginning of a pandemic, and never once complaining!! Over that time, she found this charity and the free counselling sessions that they provided to be invaluable. Hannah had a successful operation in June 2020 thanks to the neurosurgeons at LGI and now continues to be monitored by regular scans. She is completing personal challenges to raise awareness/funds for Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity and I am very excited to join her on this one!!!!! 🥾🥾🥾
Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity support people living with a primary brain tumour and their families, as well as those who have been bereaved. The current Covid-19 situation means the charity have had to cut face to face support to ensure safety, like counselling and support groups, but they continue to be there for people through their telephone and email support line.I want to help them keep their support going for people when they need it the most. Every penny raised will make a difference for someone in affected by a brain tumour in Yorkshire. Thank you.
