Rachel & Paul's Sunset Trek Fundraising Page

Sunset Trek Challenge 2022 · 10 September 2022 ·
My wonderful mum lost her fight with cancer, which she fought so very bravely, on May 17th 2021 at just 66 years of age.
On September 10th 2021, on what would have been her 67th birthday, my brother Dan, my sister-in-law Alex and I trekked to the very end of Worms Head to scatter her ashes, which was what she wanted. Dan and I spent our childhood in Llangennith and were very lucky to have such amazing scenery on our doorstep -the area of the Gower Peninsula we are trekking has a special significance to our family and will continue to do so forevermore.
September 10th 2022 would have been my mum's 68th birthday and, therefore, it was meant to be when we saw that Bowel Cancer UK were organising this trek via our lovely friend Sacha Stoyle.
Sacha has been nothing short of inspirational in her personal battle with Bowel Cancer and her efforts in such adversity have motivated us to try to raise as much money as we can to support others like Sacha, whilst remembering my wonderful mum.
Bowel Cancer UK are the leading bowel cancer charity. They fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
