Event: Thames Path Challenge 2021
In the winter months, should older and vulnerable people in our communities have to choose between heating or eating? With your support, they won't have to!

Story

I will be taking part in the Thames Path Challenge which is a 100k trek over two days by the mighty River Thames starting at Southwark Park in East London, all the way through to Henley-on-Thames. This is to help raise urgent funds for Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s Winter Wellbeing Appeal which tackles fuel poverty to keep vulnerable residents experiencing financial hardship warm and well. This is an annual appeal that the Foundation has been running since 2010 and which has raised £235,000 during its lifetime to protect some of the most vulnerable members of our local communities.

However this year the foundation really needs your help. Due to the pandemic year and high demand for funds where it has raised and distributed over £2.5 million to provide a safety net and support for local community funds, it urgently needs to raise further funds to help tackle fuel poverty this coming winter.
