I have been involved in the arts programs at my school for many years. One issue that has consistently hindered student participation  is the costume closet, i.e. lack of shoes, period pieces and wardrobe options. As a result, students are often times responsible to provide their own items. Nearly 3/4 of the families that make up CD East HS are considered low income. So for many students, being in a play or musical is simply not an option. 

My Gold Award will completely clean and re-organize my school's costume closet. I will then restock the closet with shoes and expanded costume choices and implement a system of inventory tracking to sustain the changes into the future. I am asking for your support to help me reach my goal - any monetary contribution and/or share on social media would be really appreciated.
