As many of you will know, I love to run! It is one of the many things that I really enjoy to do. Yet for some people the idea of hobby or sport could not be further from their minds, as they don't even have a place to call home. I am reminded on a daily basis of how blessed I am to have a loving family, a great job, an amazing house and the luxury of time to run. So in stepping up to a marathon for the first time ever, I really want to make a difference to the lives of people who through varying circumstances have found themselves homeless.

Our Church: King's Church Manchester is doing something fanatstic to help some of these people. This is what they have to say:

Since starting V.I.P. events in 2004, our vision and heart for the men and women of our City who are homeless has been growing. V.I.P. nights are amazing but it’s time to go further, to go deeper and see Jesus transform lives as we build community and family with those we reach.

NOT JUST A ROOF OVER THEIR HEAD, BUT A HOME. A FAMILY.

It’s not about just providing a house, but a home that is filled with the presence, love and power of the Holy Spirit. A secure and stable home is the missing link for many men and women in their journey of transformation.
