I will be walking 58km (36miles) of the (extremely hilly and steep) Jurassic Coast on the 14th of May in an attempt to raise money to support the resettlement of refugee families who have had to leave their homes in Syria due to the devastating ongoing civil war and unrest. 

The Falmouth and Penryn Welcomes Refugee Families Charity is part of the Government community sponsorship scheme, which works hard to provide families with a home, English lessons and interpreters and good community support to help them integrate into the local area. Refugees resettled in this way have been shown to recover from trauma and learn English more quickly than any other way.
