Our daughter Abi is taking part in a fundraising skydive for Claire House on 13th June 2020 to raise much needed funds for this fantastic charity.

Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full, by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. By providing specialist nursing care and emotional support, Claire House helps families smile again when life couldn’t get any tougher. 

We haven’t had our own relationship with Claire House but we know the work they do is so special and so important. They have helped so many families, one being our friends the Ledsham’s. When their daughter Abigail was diagnosed with a life limiting condition at the age of just one, Claire House helped the family to spend some quality time together and helped to make some precious memories. Abigail sadly gained her angel wings just days before her second birthday. During this time Claire House continued to offer support to the family, and especially to Abigail’s brother Harrison. Sadly in 2014 Harrison was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, he was just 11 years old. Claire House were again on hand to offer their support. They helped the family to make more special memories and helped Harrison to tick off some special things from his bucket list. Sadly, just over 12 months later Harrison gained his wings also and went to be with Abigail.

Without financial support, amazing charities like Claire House cannot help amazing families like the Ledsham’s, so please support Abi in anyway you can.

I know many of you already know the Ledsham’s and will know their story, but for those you that don’t I have attached their Children In Need video that was aired on the television a few years ago.
