#TeamWag helping to reduce loneliness across the North East

Story

Wag and Co are an excellent charity that myself and Ballet both currently volunteer for which is why I have decided to run the GNR for Wag.  I completed my first GNR last year with my friend Colin and we've decided to do the same again this year!

I am a massive dog lover and I couldn't imagine my life without one - which is why I chose to become a volunteer for Wag and Co in 2017. My self and my Labrador, Ballet visit an elderly couple Ron and Cath every week. Wag and co need funds so that even more teams can visit the elderly around the north east!

There are more than 51,000 pensioners in the North East who describe themselves as lonely all or most of the time, so each Wag team really make a difference!

Here is a little bit of information from Wag below...
Wag & Company is the only visiting dog charity to visit the elderly in their own homes as well as in care or medical establishments. Our aim is to reduce loneliness in older dog lovers right across the North East of England and to ensure that no older person misses friendship and the company of a dog. Since we started in 2016, Visiting Wag Teams have made more than 33,000 friend visits benefitting over 1,600 people and making a world of difference with each visit.

I would really appreciate any donation!

Please see below the Wag & Co website if anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer!
