Story
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month #CCAM 30 days of raising awareness of the issues that families face when their world has been turned upside down by childhood cancer.
My job (and privilege) is to do this all year round but September is our chance to involve everyone and be even louder as #TeamCLICSargent
Young cancer patients travel on average 60 miles to get to treatment, sometimes three times a week. This can cost them an extra £180 on top of regular monthly bills; this could be parking fees, car maintenance plus always having to have a full tank of petrol in case you need to make an unexpected run to the hospital.
I am taking part in @CLIC_Sargent's #Challenge60 by running 60 miles throughout September. No excuses, no back outs, each mile I choose to run represents one where there is no choice.
You can get involved too or find out more here: https://bit.ly/2ZJJY0a
You can donate and give me a motivational song I can run to here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Rachel-Webster17
Follow CLIC Sargent on instagram, twitter or facebook to hear so many reasons why your support is vital
Wish me luck, for me, these trainers are usually made for walking...
