Story

I enjoy cooking but tend to get lazy and repeat the same meals often. This year (2021) I am not going to cook the same main meal more than once. We will eat leftovers sometimes because our family doesn't waste food, and on occasions our children will cook meals, but every time I (Mother and wife) need to make a meal for the family (this will be often) I will come up with a different one. I plan to make wholesome, interesting, uncomplicated meals that ordinary people like me can make and afford. Doing this will be a fun challenge, and will also show how lucky we are to have so much variety, while some people have so little. We know families in developing countries where they can only dream of eating like we do. I would so appreciate it if you would donate money to Children in Need as I do this challenge. I imagine the task will get more and more difficult as the year goes by but I don't plan to give up. I will keep track of all the meals I cook along with plenty of photos. I started on January 1st by making a hearty turkey soup accompanied by Cuñapé, a Bolivian cheese bread. Look in the gallery for some of the other meals I have already made. Come back for updates every so often to see how I am doing.
