Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

I'm fundraising for Sense, a charity that believes that no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, should be isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential. Their experts offer personalised support through their centres, holidays and short breaks, or in people’s own homes.

They not only support the individuals who are deafblind or have complex disabilities but the people around them, providing support groups and networks for parents and carers.  Alongside this they provide support groups and weekends away for siblings and children of individuals with disabilities.

My family have benefited from the respite provided by Sense.  However they offer so many more extraordinary services available to those in need.

Given the current pandemic support given by Sense is even more crucial to support people feeling isolated as well as continuing to support people with their daily living and care needs.
