As ridiculous as it may sound, we are both taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon on the 17th October 2010! As some of you know (especially those who generously sponsored him) Tom ran the very same race last year as my brother, James. Unfortunately James, who was battling non Hodgkins lymphoma, was signed up ready to run but after the first gruelling round of chemo was advised that though much smaller, the cancer had not gone completely and he was to face further treatment. On the day of the race many friends and family came into Cardiff to support Tom, and we all felt so inspired by the atmosphere on the day, and Tom's amazing success, that we swore there and then we would sign up. 

So here we are now... and everyone is signed up ready to run! It will be tough, but we are definitely going to do this!! 

Now comes the part where we ask you for sponsorship. We decided to run for Cancer Research because, quite simply, a cure needs to be found. And cancer is a charity very close to our hearts, with both my big brother and Tom's aunt beating it in the last year. Please, if you have any spare cash, be it £1 or £100, please sponsor us. This will definitely spur us on to finish.
