Since the age of 13, when I watched my Uncle run the London Marathon, I have always wanted to take part. I run for Southampton Athletics Club and have completed a few Half Marathons, but for me, the Marathon is the ultimate challenge.

Where I normally run to try and achieve a good time, my aim with the Marathon is to complete it in aid of a local charity that is close to my heart! I chose Abby's Heroes who support families across the South Coast who have had a child diagnosed with cancer.

I was lucky enough to meet Abby when she was at Primary School. I have since been really keen to raise money for the charity set up by her mother and was delighted to get a place in the London Marathon through Southampton Athletics Club.
