Parkinson's is something I didn't know much about until my Dad was diagnosed with it a few years ago. He stayed positive and joined a walking group - he was able to meet other people with the condition and the walking helps with mobility. He's also on hand now at the local hospitals so when someone new is diagnosed he can tell them what it's like, in real-life, and what a help the Amersham and Wycombe group can be.  

Walk for Parkinson's will raise funds for this charity, getting us closer to a cure. I also hope it will raise awareness of what a difference the charity's groups and clubs can make. My Dad's walking group is a positive environment filled with pro-active welcoming people who have become his friends.
