Story
Thank you for visiting my page.
In April I am running the London Marathon for the British Heart Foundation and I would be so grateful for your support.
I unexpectedly lost my mom who suffered from congestive heart failure in January 2022. This was not a condition we anticipated to be fatal or take her away from us so soon - especially as she was only diagnosed with this at the end of 2019!
The suffering and discomfort she endured in her last weeks with us was unbearable and absolutely heart-breaking to see. Not a single day in the last year have gone by that I do not wonder if she would still be here if her condition was detected earlier or if there was any treatment that could reverse the condition for which, at the moment, there sadly is none but I am hoping that one day very soon that will change.
Those of you that know me well know that I prefer lifting weights in the gym rather than running but I am determined to raise as much as I can for the British Heart Foundation to create new treatments and discover new cures to help others that suffer from heart and circulatory disease live longer and more comfortable lives.
As little as only £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist but every single penny and pound helps so please give what you can for this very worthy cause!
I am so grateful for your support - thank you!
Rachelle
PS: The flowers in my profile picture is a photo of roses from her garden a few years ago - she knew how to grow them just perfectly!
