Story

Thank you for visiting my Justgiving site.

This is my first (and possibly only!!) attempt at the London Marathon! Im so honoured to have got a place with Brainwave, a fabulous charity and one very close to my heart due to the support they give to my Godson Jude Marrey.

Jude has global developmental delays which means that he cannot walk, he cannot talk, he cannot use his hands and we are not sure what he can see.

At Brainwave, they use an approach called Neuroplasticity. This approach is designed to re-train the brain to carry out new functions. It is hoped that the parts of the brain that are healthy will eventually be able to compensate for the parts that are damaged. Brainwave compliments Jude's other therapies that his family receive at home.

Last year I ran the Silverstone Half Marathon for Brainwave and was bowled over by everyone's generosity! So thank you for your kindness. The London Marathon has been a personal goal for many years and I am training harder than I ever to achieve this goal.
