Story
As someone who "hated" running, I never quite thought I'd be doing this. But turns out all I needed was a global pandemic and only being allowed out once a day to discover that actually I bloody love running. I ran my first half marathon last June and upon my return swiftly applied to the London Marathon while high on endorphins, not quite thinking about what would happen if I was accepted. Fast forward to March this year, and guess what - I got a place.
So now I need to think about raising money and training. The latter I can do alone, but the former is where you come in. Let me give you a bit of background on why I've chosen this charity first:
Why the MS Society? Well, my mother has multiple sclerosis, having been diagnosed a few years before I was born, and she's my inspiration for running this. Although my mum's been relatively fortunate so far in comparison to many other sufferers, it's still a daily battle and the future is unpredictable. I want to contribute to raising awareness and money to change the lives of MS sufferers now and in the future. You can learn more about what MS is and what sufferers have to deal with here: https://www.mssociety.org.uk/about-ms/what-is-ms
Put simply, Multiple Sclerosis is a horrendous disease that nobody should have to live with, so please donate whatever you can to provide essential funds for the MS Society find a cure and change lives.
