Rackspace International Thames Path Challenge 2015

Thames Path Challenge 2015 · 12 September 2015 to 13 September 2015 ·
Once upon a time, there was a group of adventurous and determined Rackers who wanted to give something back to the community surrounding our EMEA HQ. Traditionally this had been the 3 Peaks Event, however it was decided that we would change course and instead choose to attempt the Thames Path Challenge in 2015. For those not familiar with the challenge, it will consist of Rackers walking either 50km or 100km in one go along the Thames Path, starting at Putney with the 100km ending all the way in Henley! It may sound like a walk in the park, but it’s a challenge not to be taken lightly as it requires a huge amount of stamina, grit and pure willpower.
Our charity this time is the Harlington Hospice, a local hospice within Hillingdon that provides holistic care for adults with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses in our local borough, as well as supporting their carers. They need to raise a total of £150,000 to keep the hospice going for just one year, so our £3,000 target will make a huge contribution to them. Every donation, no matter how small or large, is appreciated!!
The Rackers taking on the 50km challenge in 2015 are : Amy Balmer, Charles Dodd, Cheryl Seales, Ivet Vuchkova, Janine McShane, Kavita Johal, Nick Sinclair, Reino Englebrecht, Rina Beecher, Sharan Sidhu, Tom Squirrell and Tony Jobson.
The Rackers taking on the 100km challenge in 2015 are : Andrew Freeman, Ben Thompson, Carina Hendrikx, Gary Cole, Hannah Taylor, Lyon Till, Maxim Rozin, Michael Macpherson (running!), Wayne Hooper and Willem Horak
Training programs and fundraising activities have started in earnest and we look forward to pounding the pavements and muddy paths to raise a serious amount of money for a great cause, and are very grateful for your donation.
Thanks,
The Rack Gives Back team 2015
