Story

The Radio Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Radio Broadcast Marathon

**50 Hours of Non-Stop Live Radio!**

About Radio CW

Obviously it goes without saying that it can be pretty bleak staying in hospital.  As a group of volunteers, every evening we visit patients on the wards, chat to them and offer to play them a piece of music or a favourite song on the radio.  It’s not much, but it does a good job of cheering people up and taking their minds off things.

What Are We Doing?

As ever, the hospital radio station is short of funds, and so we are doing a charity 50-hour non-stop marathon broadcast to raise money.  From 7pm on Friday 7th May straight through to the 9pm on Sunday 9th May,  the 40+ volunteers at the station are getting together to help raise money to keep the station going.

We will broadcast non-stop for 50 hours to help raise awareness for the hospital and the service we provide.

How can you help?

- Donate or Sponsor a song: When you donate, tell us what tune we can play for you. We will thank you live on air and play your request.

- Come to the Open Day: On Sat 8th May during the brodacast marathon, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital are hosting an open day. So if you are available please come along to see all the tremendous work that is being done.

- Become a Volunteer: Please come down and visit us at the station anytime as new volunteers and guests are always welcome.
