Story
A big thank you to everyone who has already pledged to support me in my endeavour to run my first Half Marathon to raise as much money possible for Cancer Research UK.
If you have pledged to support me and are comfortable donating money online through JustGiving feel free to do so and if not I will be more than happy to collect money from you after I complete the Half Marathon on 11th October 2009. Hopefully I'll run 13 miles within three hours, however based on the lack of training so far I'll be overjoyed if I just manage to finish!
The reason why I have chosen Cancer Research UK is because of the courageous people who I know that have been affected and successfully beaten Cancer. In particular, I have drawn inspiration from three people; a close friend, family member and a work colleague. The manner in which each of them dealt with the challenges they faced and remained up beat is the biggest motivating factor for me.
In addition, every penny that you pledge will push me all the way to complete my objective.
