On Sunday 7^th June, Mengeham Rythe Sailing Club, Hayling Island, should be celebrating our 21^st Rowans Charity Race – a cause that is very important to many people and always a great club event that has raised over £18,000 so far.

With the current Covid-19 restrictions, sadly we can’t see how we can safely put on our annual event BUT we would still like to raise some money for this amazing charity.

MRSC members and all of our friends are asked to Raise a Glass for Rowans and donate a percentage of the money we have all saved from sailing club Bar's being closed these last few months!

Rowans Hospice provides free care and support to adults in our community who have life-limiting illness and their families. 90% of their income comes from fundraising and shops, but with the Coronavirus pandemic, all their events have been cancelled and their shops
are shut. Now more than ever they need our support.

Donating through JustGiving means that your donation will also be eligible for gift aid, so Rowans will receive even more from your generous support. As a UK tax payer, for every £10 donated with gift aid, Rowans will receive £11.98 (after Just Giving processing fee) so it is still really worth adding gift aid.
