This September, I will be hiking 19,341 feet to the summit of Kilimanjaro Challenge to support our local charity, Havens Hospices. 

Why support this cause?

Havens Hospices provides palliative nursing and supportive care to adults and children living with complex or incurable conditions. As a Trustee, I have seen the wonderful work they have been doing in the community but also the challenges they face to fund raise money to provide this excellent care on a day to day basis.

Havens focus on caring for individual physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs and do not charge a penny for any of the care services. Together, we’re ‘Making every day count.’

How will your donation help?

• £20 - could pay for a family meal at our hospice, giving them a night off cooking (and the washing up!)

• £42 - could pay for an hour and a half of specialist nursing care for a patient in their own home at the end of their life.

• £100 - could provide a month of physiotherapy sessions for a patient, helping them to improve their mobility.
