At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Dear All,

On Thursday 25 August 2011 Andrew Bentendo, Jamie Lynch and myself will set off on a 1,500 mile trip to Valencia, taking in many of the more picturesque sights that France, Italy and Spain have to offer. Sounds like a nice holiday, doesn't it? Especially when you find out we're travelling in our very own BATMOBILE purchased for the pricey sum of £200 from eBay. KAPOW!

The Batmobile will be part of the Ramschackle Rally:

The only issue is the Batmobile has seen better days; it is 20 years old, starts only some of the time and overheats regularly. WHAM! Factor in our incompetence with anything mechanical and you can see why we're having second thoughts.

Still, we've heard there is plenty of crime to fight on the mean streets of Annecy, San Remo and Perpignan so we're going to plough on regardless. Whilst ridding continental Europe of its biggest baddies is our main goal, we're also looking to raise a few pounds for the Alzheimers Society http://alzheimers.org.uk/ along the way, so dig deep please people.

Pictures of the Batmobile will be available shortly. POW!

Thanks

Nick Mann, Andrew Bentendo, Jamie Lynch aka Nana Moon
