Hi, I am Ralph Tasic, one of the shortlisted candidates for the 2017 Thomson Reuters Foundation Ambassador Challenge.

The Thomson Reuters Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Thomson Reuters and an independently registered charity in the UK and the USA. It leverages the know-how, reach and reputation of Thomson Reuters to run free programmes that promote the highest standards in journalism and spread excellence in the practice of legal pro bono worldwide: free legal assistance to NGOs and social enterprises, coverage of the world’s under-reported news, media development, and the annual Trust Conference. It acts as a source of unbiased thought leadership in areas including slavery and human trafficking, women’s rights and climate and resilience.

One of my goals is to raise funds for the Trust Conference scholarship program, which allows remarkable individuals from around the world who fight slavery and defend human rights to attend the conference at no cost.

I have been selected as one of 12 shortlisted ambassadors from over 150 submissions from around the world in 2017. I have time until October 5, 2017 to plan and implement awareness
and fundraising activities and hope I can count on your support! If I win the challenge, I’ll be flown to London on an all-expense paid trip to attend the conference.
