Great North Swim 2013 · 14 June 2013 to 16 June 2013 ·

In the UK, a woman dies every two hours from ovarian cancer. As the leading ovarian cancer research charity, we’re working to change that. By finding new and better ways to prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, we will ensure a future where no woman dies of ovarian cancer.

Story

Ok, yes i must be mad. To motivate me in the build up to swimming a Mile in the Great North Swim i need a reason other than the fantastic challenge to keep the training going. I am asking that you dig deep and donate whatever you feel you can afford to. Stick your hand down the side of your chair or sofa and any £1.00 coins you find is perfect for a donation, you didnt know you had it so you wont miss it, right? The charity i chose, as with all charities, is a very worth while one. My Mum died because of Ovarian Cancer and with more research there can be better prevention, cure or help.

Donations will not only help the charity but will get me into the Sea or Lakes and Lochs in preparation for the swim.
