Heal is committed to providing shelter, support, education and healthcare for needy children and is involved in a number of projects caring for orphaned children in India.

Story

Hi Friend,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To update you , I retired from the post of Director General of Police a couple of years back and was offered a post retirement job. Then, I met a  kindred soul - Dr Koneru Satyanarayana Prasad. Satya started a charity when he was 17 in the first year of Medical School. The present Charity Heal was started in 1992 to take care of orphaned and destitute children in India. Every penny raised  goes to children as there is no administrative overload.

It is heavenly to see smile on the faces of children who would have been otherwise begging on street corners or toiling breaking stones. There are 1000 children under Heal care or whom 40 are studying in graduate schools including engineering and medical. Check out the Heal website at www.heal.co.uk.

Cycleindia 2010 is a fund raising event where we will cycle 190 miles through the beautiful Coorg in India
