Story
I’m taking on 90 miles in October for Mind and every step is for someone who feels they’ve run out of options.
After a tough summer, I’ve felt it’s never been more important to be transparent about thoughts, feelings and behaviours that shape our mental health. Especially amongst my own communities.
I also wanted to allocate time everyday this month to reconnect with myself & those around me. I’m so grateful to be surrounded by my incredibly nurturing family & friends, who keep me well. Participating in this challenge will hopefully make people aware of resources available, when there's nowhere else to turn.
I’ve always said if it’s not music, it’s green spaces that keep me in check so I’m excited to tread some ground before we head into the winter months.
Finally, this challenge seems like a fitting tribute to my neighbour who loved a daily lap around Upton 🐕🌳🕊️
Right now, Mind’s phone lines are the busiest they’ve ever been. In the UK 1 in 4 of us will face a mental health problem this year, yet too many still wait in silence.
Please support my 90 miles in October challenge by donating to my fundraising page 🙏🏻
Thank you 💙
