WalktoSave is a worldwide initiative to stand in support of The Kalgidhar Trust. This organisation stands out for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Education and was founded by a Harvard Alumnus, Sant Teja Singh ji, (M.A. LLB, AM Harvard) and since propagated under the guidance of Baba Iqbal Singh ji (Retd. Director Agriculture, HP) along with the unequivocal support of Late Dr. Khem Singh ji Gill (Ex- Vice Chancellor PAU), a right kind of pedigree to be trusted in the field of Education.Their model is based on the wholesome upliftment of the underprivileged and deprived areas, mainly of the Rural Punjab. The Kalgidhar Trust has revolutionized the modern scientific education by blending it with spirituality to produce caring and compassionate individuals with a world class intellect, thus creating good global citizens. 

I am walking with my family while reciting 'Vaheguru' with each step. I am inviting all of my contacts, friends and relatives to participate in this wonderful event. I am doing this to support a great cause, a great mission and great personalities, hence donating my Daswand to save the society and future generations by following the path shown by a great guru (en-lightener) and a revolutionary who gave a wonderful direction to this world i.e." Nanak Naam Chardi Kalla Tere Bhane Sarbat Da Bhala (by always remembering almighty we always remain in  constant optimism and by accepting his good will we seek well being of the whole humanity)".

The Kalgidhar Trust/Society is the only Sikh organisation which has shown unwavering commitment to promote universal Sikh values such as;

Universal Sikh Values promoted: patience, tolerance, forgiveness, humility, compassion, contentment, integrity, niskham (Selflessness), chardi kalla (constant optimism), obedience, discipline, equality, justice, spiritual wisdom, honest living and sarbat da bhalla (good will, good wishes and welfare for all).

6. Some common vices to be eradicated Kaam (Lust), Krodh (Anger), Lobh (Greed), Moh (Attachment), Hankar (Ego).

7. Concept of Miri Piri - a perfect blend and balance of spiritual and temporal values.

8. Concept of Khalsa (pure - Army of God).

9. In an ultimate and perfect situation, there is no difference between God, Guru(teacher) and a Disciple.

10. Man-Ego=God. Ego drives one away from God.
