Story

Thanks for visiting our Rangers Arctic Challenge page.

In February 2009 a team of 9 led by former Rangers player Alex Rae will face a 200km journey through the wilds of Norway with husky dog teams to raise funds for the Rangers Charity Foundation.

They will cross mountainous terrain north of the arctic Circle, frozen lakes and pack ice and snow and face temperatures of -30°C in what is a true test of endurance.

Each team member will be responsible for the feeding and care of their own husky team during the week long challenge and will receive expert training in their handling, as well as wilderness survival tips.

The Rangers Arctic Challenge will be a unique experience, unlike anything any of the team has ever faced before and will test each member's physical and mental reserves to the limit.

We hope that their commitment to the challenge will inspire their friends, family and colleagues to support them.  Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor the team - the Rangers Charity Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor Alex and the Rangers team now!

Thanks for your support.
