Impetus-PEF Private Equity Triathlon 2015 · 12 September 2015 ·

Impetus transforms the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by ensuring they get the right support to succeed in school, in work and in life. We find, fund and build the most promising charities working with these young people.

Story

Kim, Raph and Thomas are one of the Blackstone teams signed up to the Impetus-PEF Private Equity Triathlon, which this year takes place on Saturday 12th September 2015 at the Olympic rowing venue, Dorney Lake.

We are raising funds for Impetus, the Private Equity Foundation, which works to transform the lives of 11-24 year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds by ensuring that they get the support that they need to succeed in education, find and keep jobs and ultimately achieve their potential. Impetus finds the most promising charities and social enterprises to work with these children and young people, then helps them become highly effective organisations that transform lives.  Impetus then expands them significantly to dramatically increase the number of young people they serve.

We are greatly encouraged by your generous donations and will do our best to beat last year’s Blackstone team (Lionel, Debbie and Raph) time of 1:31:25 to complete the Triathlon (in comparison the winner did 1:03:51…on his own…), and we are counting on you to beat last year’s fund raising of £15k - as you can see from the above picture we are 100% ready! (to make fools of ourselves…)

Thank you so much in advance!

Kim Wadman (5km run), Raphael de Botton (750m Swim) and Thomas de Canniere (21.2km bike ride).
