Story
A few years ago my mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s - I was totally devastated and heart broken.
Until a cure is found, the Alzheimer’s society are raising money to help create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, and are able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
£11 could pay for a person with dementia and their carer to attend one of the charity's Dementia Cafés. £30 could fund one of the charity's Side by Side services for one hour, pairing people with dementia with volunteers so that they have the support they need. £50 could fund the equipment a dementia researcher needs for a day to investigate ways to improve care and treatment for the condition.
To help raise money for the charity I am trekking the Great Wall of China in September 2019. It would be fantastic if you are able to sponsor me - no amount is too small (or large).
Thank you so much in advance for your support xx
Love and hugs
