#TeamSIA will be taking on RideLondon, cycling 100 miles to raise vital funds for the Spinal Injuries Association.

Story

Life can change in a split second. And, for me, meeting Mike
Ashton again, just before Christmas, was a moving reminder of that.

Mike is a colleague who, while on holiday in 2019, had a cycling accident which left him paralysed from the shoulders down. And just like that, his life changed forever.

Mike has shown extraordinary courage in adjusting to his new reality.  Amazingly he is taking part in the RideLondon 100 on May 29th  using a hand cycle, to raise money for the Spinal Injury Association (SIA). He has inspired me to take up cycling and join him - something I can't imagine I will regret in spite of being a cycling novice (I think I can just about ride in a straight line now).

The cause is a fabulous one - one person sustains a spinal cord injury every 8 hours in the UK, and the support that the SIA provides makes a true difference to them and their families.
