The Wolf Run 2013 · 7 August 2013

Too many people live on the edge of coping. They never open up their prospects of a better life. It’s wrong. That’s why we’re here. We help people experiencing isolation, poverty and disadvantage to build better lives. With enough hope people can take control and turn their lives around.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are challenging ourselves to run wild in this years Wolf run on Saturday 7th September 2013. We wanted to do something that would physically and mentally challenge us, something that would motivate us to reach our goal of getting fitter! The Wolf Run is Wild Running - a unique combination of three kinds of off-road running: mud runs, trail runs and obstacle runs. The only Wild Run in the UK, it’s a hardcore 10k run across raw natural terrain, including open ground, woodland, lakes & thick mud. check out the video link to see what its all about...

We've joined together to raise money for Grapevine; a Coventry based charity. Grapevine helps people with learning disabilities to get the life they want - to make their own choices and be part of their community. We want to reduce the isolation that so many people with learning disabilities experience. Too many people spend their lives in residential and day care. Grapevine helps them make connections and have a life in the ordinary world.

This really is the ultimate challenge for us and Grapevine is a deserving local charity. Without their support my (Melissa) family would not be where they are today (take a look at the video of Rishard) Funding is being cut and services are diminishing across Coventry leaving people vunerable alone and without a support network. Giving to Grapevine will ensure that they can carry on running projects across the city, reaching out to those who need it. Please dig deep and support the cause!
