We invite all our extended RGS community to join together in a virtual journey across the world, using non-motorised methods of travel, proudly wearing RGS kit or colours, and raising money for our nominated charities. We will support this on social media using the hashtag #RGSTogether. RGS communities are invited to complete their distances (see below for further details) in as traditional or as unusual a fashion as each individual likes! Running, cycling, swimming, roller skating, scootering, canoeing, horse riding, paddle boarding, rowing, or non-motorised transport characteristic of each community are all options! It is fully up to each individual! Prizes will be awarded for the most innovative means of travel and the most stunning settings and backdrops all – we hope – with the participants dressed in RGS branded kit or colours. The challenge is open to absolutely everyone connected with your school: pupils, staff, governors, parents and friends; after all we are just one family. The distances between our family of schools goes to show what a global community we really are. It would be our hope to try and match some of these distances to say that we really did manage to ‘race across the world’!
