Ravenbank Rainforest Rescuers

Sponsored Dance-Off · 12 February 2013
We have decided to do an hour's fancy dress sponsored 'annoying song' dance in aid of WWF's work to protect the rainforests. We would like to raise enough money to adopt a Mountain Gorilla per class and an acre of rainforest. To do this we need to raise £108.
Do you breathe? Well then you need the rainforests! They are our main source of Oxygen which we need to survive and they absorb the Carbon Dioxide that would otherwise contribute to global warming.
The rainforests are home to 2/3 of the world's plant and animal species. Approximately half of all prescribed drugs come from rainforest plants. They are used to treat many serious, life-threatening illnesses such as Leukemia and Malaria.
Imagine a zoo filled with empty cages. Many endangered species such as elephants and mountain gorillas rely on the rainforests to survive. That is why we want you to help us by sponsoring us for this worthy cause.
Help us to protect our rainforests and everything that lives there for future generations.
