Why am I cycling 1,000 miles in 14 days? For my charity, Pebbles Project, whose UK arm I set up and administer in the UK. Pebbles Project is based in the Winelands of South Africa. They take care of children whose lives are affected by poverty and lack of investment in the Winelands. Working with wine farms, the charity provides education, support and medical facilities for both children and their families in the Western Cape. We give them the leg up that they so desperately need, so that they are given just as much opportunity as others who are better off. 

We take care of over 1,500 children in the Western Cape. We are permanently changing lives and providing opportunity. Every time I visit the facilities, I am inspired by the work done, and by the sheer force of will of the main charity's founder, Sophia Warner. 

However, every penny counts. I am looking to raise enough money to fund the construction of a new classroom at a primary school in Hemel-en-Aarde ("Heaven & Earth). This currently takes care of 124 children; adding a classroom can help educate and invest in 30 more children. It's my aim to fund that classroom personally. That's my commitment; your pledges will be invaluable in helping me achieve my goal.
