Hi I'm Ray Cann and I have decided to do The Great North Run on September 2023. I'm not going for a specific time I'm just going to go and enjoy the day and in the process make some money for Let's Connect.

5 years ago I lost my mam to cancer; my girlfriend was helping me get over it I could talk to her about things. 6 months later my girlfriend had a fit and she never come out of it, I'd lost my rock 2 years after that.

I had been in hospital 3 times because I was killing myself with alcohol, then the hospital told me about mind and I got in touch and I ended up going to see a counsellor there and it helped me even just to talk to someone and pour my heart out to someone it really helped. I still have bad days don't get me wrong but I think if I
didn't have a service like Mind someone to help me I don't think I'd be here now I don't care how big or hard we think we are at the end of the day we all need an arm round us to guide us in the right direction.
