London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·

The Griffin Institute is a leading surgical training and medical research charity working to improve outcomes for patients of all ages who are living with acute and chronic disease and disability. We possess nearly 30 years of experience, converting the best in surgical skills training and scientific research into genuine successes which transform patient care. Our collaboration with other hospitals allows us to establish links with patient and family support groups, as well as with specialist clinicians / surgeons in the field, ensuring a genuine patient-focused approach to all our work. From our vital surgical training initiatives through to our ground-breaking medical research, we always keep in mind that our ultimate objective is to transform and restore patient quality of life and health.

Story

For the second year in a row, I am delighted to fundraise for The Griffin Institute and to take part in this year's London Marathon. A little background on myself, I lead the Healthcare & Life Sciences practice in Europe and the Middle East for Alvarez & Marsal. I have been in the Life Sciences space for nearly 20 years, including as CFO of the Respiratory business of GE Healthcare, head of finance and shared services at Smith & Nephew, and as CFO at Acelity/KCI in the wound care industry. Medical Education and Training is a passion of mine, as I know how important it is for new technologies to reach more patients, and for the world to solve its shortage of trained caregivers. I cannot say enough how much I support this cause! - For more info, check them out: https://griffininstitute.org.uk/
