I am fortunate to be fundraising for an organization that takes care of all people. 2020 has challenged us, but the Y did not stop transforming lives.

I just love how the Y serves seniors and the many veterans in our community. Since I have lost both of my parents, it fills my heart to know that the Y serves this important demographic. I love hearing how the Y has put smiles on their faces and how good they feel when they come to the Y!

As a mother of three and a former preschool teacher, I love how the Y helps to give a foundation for children to build upon and overcome their fears. The Y offers so many different activities that it truly allows for children to explore and discover their passions. By providing swim lessons, sports, arts, STEM, and so much more; the Y empowers kids to thrive! 

Teens at the Y continue to inspire me. Through our many teen centric programs, I see teens develop into leaders. They volunteer and explore ways to engage with all ages. This helps them to overcome fears and challenges. The Teen Leaders Club, Leaders In Training, and Youth and Government allow teens to develop life and workforce skills. Many go on to work at the Y as their first job as a lifeguard or working in the Amazing Kids Center. 

Through this campaign we are working to ensure a brighter future for the Desert Foothills region. Your gift will help young people achieve their potential, empower community members of all ages to lead healthier lives, and strengthen the bonds of the community in Desert Foothills by helping our neighbors.
