Plogging is the Swedish craze that's combining outdoor exercise with picking up rubbish - and it's catching on around the globe. Will you join us in creating a Red Balloon plogging movement to raise funds while doing your bit for the environment?

Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page! On the 8th of May we will be jogging and picking up rubbish around the Cambridge North Station area to raise money for Red Balloon Learner Centres.

Thousands of children are missing from school each due to bullying and trauma. For many returning to mainstream school is so terrifying that they remain at home, missing out on getting an education, on making friends and on building the personal skills they need to succeed in future. Red Balloon offers a unique programme to help these children get their lives back. They provide education, wellbeing and community engagement to help students regain their confidence in all aspects of their life, not just their lessons. With your help we can reach more children who are stuck at home, and help them get their futures back.

About the charity

16,000 children in the UK are so badly bullied that they cannot go to school. The aim of Red Balloon is to aid their recovery by providing them with an 'intensive care' full-time academic and personal and social education programme so that they can return to mainstream school or go on to college.
