Keech Hospice Care provides end of life care for terminally ill children, and support for their family and friends.

Having worked as a telephone fundraiser in the past, I've spoken to thousands of people affected by various illnesses, and some of the stories I've heard from strangers will stay with me forever. I am one of the lucky few who hasn't been directly affected by a child with a terminal or life threatening illness, but I am so moved by the dedication of those at Keech to ensure that their patients are given the best quality of life, whilst also providing emotional and physical support to their loved ones.

People are often aware of the amazing work a charity does, and appreciate that donations are necessary for the work to continue. But to keep their doors open, Keech must raise £5.7 Million every single year, of which just 30% is funded by the government.

I know I couldn't personally live a financially stable life if my wages only covered 30% of my bills. But what truly shocks me is that the rest of their funding come from gifts and donations - the nature of which is totally unpredictable.

Please help me raise money for this absolutely banging charity - if everyone I knew donated a couple of quid, I'd reach my target of £250 which I think is more than doable!
