Story

On Sunday the 10th of April the new recruits for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service are going to row the length of the Kennet and Avon Canal twice! A total distance of 280km. Come down to Broad Street Reading to see us in action on the rowing machines, meet the new recruits and see our Fire Engine! Thank you for any donations you kindly make they are greatly appreciated. All proceeds will go to the firefighters charity to support firefighters injured in the line of duty.

The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist lifelong health & wellbeing support for the UK fire & rescue community, empowering individuals and families to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. This includes serving and retired firefighters, control and support teams.
