COVID-19 has decimated our income and left us unable to expand our services to help those who need us. We want everyone with SMS to have the chance of a fulfilling future. We want to raise £50,000 to meet the needs of all SMS families in the UK.

Story

Event: Scalping Roscoe's Bonce

Place: The Neuven Stadium, Stainton Park, Radcliffe Borough Football Club

Time: 05/11/2022 after the game 17:15  in the Social Club live streamed on Bury AFC's Facebook Page.

Explanation:

Mark Roscoe has committed to raising money for a cause close to his heart.

Having grown and held on (just about) to his silken mane since Pre - Pandemic, he's agreed to get it completely shaved off at Bury AFC's home game against Padiham on Saturday 5 November 2022*  with all the proceeds from Just Giving going to the Smith-Magenis Syndrome Foundation UK.

This is inspired by Harry Donohue, 5, son of Mark’s close friend’s Jon and Claire. At 18 months old Harry was diagnosed with the rare genetic Smith-Magenis Syndrome, which impacts their lives in many ways. At first information was difficult to obtain until they discovered the Smith-Magenis Syndrome Foundation UK, who welcomed them into their community of families and have offered support ever since.

The Smith-Magenis Syndrome Foundation UK provides vital support to individuals and families affected by the condition, as well as raising awareness in the wider community. The foundation is relatively small and funded through charity fundraising efforts such as Mark’s head shave.  Please come down or pledge what you can, any money will be greatly appreciated.

On the day Bury AFC's very own Harry Brazel will be on the Clippers and the event will be live streamed/filmed for the purposes of transparency/evidence.

Also before and during the game a bucket donation will also be done on the Day to be shared with the Borough of Bury Veterans Association, who do absolutely outstanding work and support for ex-service men and women of the Borough, pleas give what you can, any donation Is incredibly appreciated!
