Story
The College has bought 18–20 Stephenson Way, a freehold building close to Euston Station in the London Borough of Camden (LBC). It was initially a Victorian warehouse and most recently it was the main office of the charity Arthritis Care. We will have a number of illustrious neighbours including the GMB Union, the Royal Asiatic Society, the Directory of Social Change and, perhaps most intriguingly, the Magic Circle. We will also be close to the new headquarters of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
We have been able to finance the purchase of the new building and its basic refurbishment from existing resources and we are undertaking some fundraising to ensure that we do not need to increase membership subscriptions to support the project.
However, to add further value to the building and ensure that it really is a place to advance ophthalmology, we would like to give members the opportunity to make a donation to help improve its technological infrastructure. All donations from members will be acknowledged in an appropriate, formal manner and, for UK taxpayers, they can be made under Gift Aid.
You can send a cheque or debit/credit card donation by downloading our Gift Aid Form and sending it to the College address:
