Story
Ash Field Academy is a day and residential school for 4-19 year olds. All of our pupils have physical disabilities or complex medical conditions. In addition many pupils have learning, communication and sensory needs.
As a group of staff at Ash Field Academy we feel very fortunate to work with such an incredible group of students. They give us fun, laughter, smiles and tears, and inspire us to never give up. Never a dull day goes by and we feel privileged to come into work every day.
Our school moto is 'reach for success' and our students embrace this on a daily basis no matter what struggles they are facing.
They have inspired us to give something back to them which is why we have decided to tackle the half marathon. We are all new to running and the training has already been a challenge for us all. We know the race day will be a very tough day but nothing in comparison to what our children face everyday. We will never give up because they never give up.
The money we raise will go towards specialist outdoor playground equipment for our students to enjoy because those smiles are priceless!
