Our son William has focal cortical dysplasia. Cortical dysplasia occurs when the top layer of the brain does not form properly. The most common symptom of cortical dysplasia is seizures. Unfortunately medication was unable to control Williams seizures and therefore he had surgery in August 2022 to remove the section of brain believed to be causing his seizures. Although still fairly early days has been seizure free post surgery - a life changing experience for him, and our family and friends surrounding him. 

We are so grateful for all the support we have had and want to continue to give a little back to those who have helped us.
