Movember Final : The end of Movember for the 5 of us – and goodbye to itching and ridicule! Some of us will never live down some of the pictures posted – Borat, Diva Fever and Village People amongst the more controversial - but it’s been a small price to pay for the funding we’ve been able to raise for the Prostate Cancer Charity. Thank you one and all for your support – we hope that our pictures have entertained you all over the weeks. Movember Day 29 : “Dennis and Friends” : We always saw Tom as a bit of a free spirit so it’s no surprise that he chose Dennis Hopper in “Easy Rider” as his hirsute hero. And if you look carefully, you can also see Andrew “Tosh” MacIntosh and Neil “Low Rider” Shanahan as our guest stars who have manfully come out in support of us by growing their own facial accoutrements. Good going, guys! Movember Day 26 : “Jack” : Peter, as winner of the “shining star” award for his work on Mission 500, certainly shines as his chosen icon, Jack Nicholson. “You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry” adds Pete. And having seen his previous (surprisingly credible) pictures of him as Hulk Hogan and the drummer in Motorhead, we wouldn’t argue, would we…? Movember Day 25 : “Burt” : Graham is happy to see himself as his hero - smooth-talking 70s icon Burt Reynolds. Certainly he has the moustache worthy of such a star. He is also keen to point out for the 1st time there is a lack of tight white trousers in this picture. We know this will be disappointing for some of you – then again, we think he protests too much…! Movember Day 24 : “Clint” : Some say that Laurence is just like his gun-toting hero Clint Eastwood. And that he’s as good as the others in this fundraising effort are bad and ugly. The reality is that only his head would fit this picture. “The reality is that only my head would fit this picture” added Laurence. Movember Day 23 : “Magnum” : The first of a series of pictures this week as moustache-clad actors – starting with Shane as Magnum PI. “I thought my ‘tache was pretty distinctive – although not quite as I imagined as I was offered Basil Fawlty or Captain Mainwaring from Dad’s Army as alternatives to Magnum. And I was only offered Magnum as I am buying a red car. How rude!” Movember Day 19 : “Divas” : Rob Clarkson promised to donate £50 for a picture of 2 of our moustached fundraisers performing a duet as “Diva Fever” from the X-Factor. Two things spring to mind. (1) Is it coincidence that every picture of Graham posted has been in tight white trousers? (2) What strange fantasies go on in Rob’s mind? Still, at least it’s not another “Borat” picture….. Movember Day 17 : “Slade” : “It’s Mov-emmmmm-ber!” screeches Shane (front) posing as Noddy Holder from Slade in the second in our series of “manly” rock pictures. Stubble now driving us mad as itching has reached a peak. “Mama - we’re all crazy now” adds Graham. Surely a sign that all 5 of us will be flying “moustache solo” in next week’s pictures? Movember Day 15 : “Rockers” : It has been pointed out that some of the pictures haven’t shown us in our most “manly” light. Which is why we’ve decided to “man-up” in this weeks pictures to show off our facial hair at it’s best. “Why don’t we get to vet these pictures before they’re posted?” asked Laurence (right).“You win some, you lose some, it’s all the same to me” replied Tom (centre) posing as Lemmy, lead singer of Motorhead. Movember Day 9 : “Angels” : Insurance & Investments own Marie, Clare and Pip come out in support of Movember and lend moral support to the Westwood “Men of Distinction”. “We were so moved by the pictures, we thought we’d join in! Though we did refuse to pose in mankinis…” Movember Day 5 “Abba” : First signs of stubble. Early conversations centring on which pop stars we will be modelling ourselves on once the moustaches become more apparent. George Michael? Freddy Mercury? ZZ Top? Not quite there yet, boys! Update from Shane "Borat" Leivers : "Very nice! With "lime" being so topical nowadays, I thought I'd stick with the theme and go for Kazakhstan's finest bathing costume and moustache . High five! And no - this is not my mankini!" (Kieran - do you want it back?) Update from Tom "Blackadder" Henderson : "Darling. I have a Movember plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a weasel. Which is why I'm plumping for a bushy Blackadder-period tache. And a new set of pencils. Wibble wibble!" Update from Peter "Hulk" Marlow : "As a well-known athlete myself, I naturally gravitate towards the more "buff" role model. And what a well-oiled glistening dream of a role-model Hulk Hogan is! I can only hope my attempt to grow a moustache is more "Hulk Hogan" than a "Giant Haystack!"" Update from Graham "BG" Bennett : "Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk I prefer the wilder look - more Bee Gee than GB you might say. I'm hoping to recreate the look of 70s disco during Movember although I might keep the chest wig to myself in and around the office!"  Update from Laurence "Brent" Jessup : "I respect the goatee and what better exponent of this form of facial couture than David Brent. And what better role model could a man have - I certainly am an advocate of his style of management and am often compared to him on the dancefloor!" Are men with moustaches your sort of thing, stranger? If so, you may be keen to know that Shane Leivers, Peter Marlow, Graham Bennett, Tom Henderson & Laurence Jessup (pictured left to right) will be growing an assortment of facial hair during the month of “<a href="http://uk.movember.com/about/?=adwords">Movember</a>”. Why are we doing this you might ask? We thought we’d raise funds to help the Prostate Cancer Charity. Prostate Cancer affects tens of thousands of men each year. The good people at this charity support research into the causes, prevention and treatment of Prostate Cancer and also research the impact of living with the disease. As we haven't the first idea about conducting medical research ourselves, we thought we'd stick to manfully raising funds. Which is where you come in.
