Rebecca and Tara walk 1,000,000 steps for One Woman at a Time.

Hi everyone - your two favourite dental girls/ Miss Manchester finalists here! We are both so happy to be finalists this year and are overwhelmed by the support we've already received.

We are asking you for your help to raise money for an amazing charity, One Woman at a Time, who support women and girls at risk of domestic abuse, forced marriage and FGM in the UK, India and Kenya. With lockdown showing a massive surge in the number of domestic abuse incidents that are occurring, your help and support is more crucial now than ever.

Due to the current world situation, we won’t be able to do many fundraising events, but we are determined not to let that stop us! So instead, we are going to keep safe and use our exercise hour to walk/run/skip one million steps.

That’s 500 miles (just as many as the Proclaimers) or from Manchester to Paris and a little bit more! We know that with everyone being under the stresses of lockdown, this might not be at the top of your priorities, but seeing as though your local coffee shop/ bar is closed at the moment, why not put that extra money towards a good cause?
